GROUNDNUTS OR PEANUTS (Arachis hypogaea)

Peanuts, often known as “ground nuts” or “ground peas”, are a type of legume that grows underground or is farmed solely for its edible seeds. The second-largest producer of groundnuts worldwide is India. There are three different types of Indian groundnuts: Bold or Runner, Java or Spanish, and Red Natal.
